CEEF schools offer outstanding classroom-based programs that give students a chance to learn about energy through STEM education. Some schools have outstanding student leaders who extend these activities into their communities. To recognize outstanding achievement and reward student leadership, CEEF provides prizes and awards for energy education.

Free to participate, this program combines academic competition with recognition to acknowledge all stakeholders involved in CEEF during the year. The program also recognizes those who achieve excellence in energy education in their schools and communities. The students and teachers set goals and objectives, and track activities. Students submit their projects and then winners are announced and receive prizes at the Energy Day Festival.

As part of the Energy Day Academic Program, CEEF and its partners have awarded over $163,000 in cash and prizes to more than 700 students and educators.
