All CEEF schools have outstanding classroom-based programs in which students learn about energy through STEM related subjects. Some schools have outstanding student leaders who extend these activities into their communities. To recognize outstanding achievement and reward student leadership, CEEF provides prizes and awards for energy achievement.
Free to participate, this program combines academic competition with recognition to acknowledge all stakeholders involved in CEEF during the year – and to recognize those who achieve excellence in energy education in their schools and communities. The students and teachers set goals and objectives, and keep a record of their activities. Students submit their projects, and winners are announced and prizes distributed at Energy Day Festival.
As part of our Energy Day Academic Program (EDAP), CEEF and our partners have awarded over $100,000 in cash and prizes to more than 700 students and educators.
