Institute to be Led by Energy and Workforce Advocate Kevin Doyle
Houston, TX – Consumer Energy Education Foundation (CEEF) announced the creation of the CEEF American Energy and Environment Workforce Institute, headed by Kevin Doyle. The Institute will focus on addressing workforce policy issues within the energy and environmental industry sectors.
Doyle was recently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for CareerSource Florida, the Florida statewide workforce system, and previously served as the deputy director for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the 21st Century Workforce under President George W. Bush. He also serves as vice president of state affairs for Consumer Energy Alliance.
“I am excited to work with CEEF on issues to address the unique workforce challenges that the energy and environmental industry sectors face while developing tools, solutions and opportunities to promote the great career options that this sector of our economy provides,” said Doyle.
“Career opportunities continue to expand and grow in the energy industry from oil and natural gas to renewable energy such as wind, solar, and energy conservation,” said David Holt, CEEF’s founder. “We look forward to working with Kevin Doyle to develop new opportunities across the energy sector to help inspire America’s future workforce to pursue opportunities to further their potential as well as protecting our environment.”
“We look forward to working together with Kevin Doyle to reach the energy workforce of the future, as well as identifying new opportunities for those who are interested in pursuing education and career opportunities in STEM fields and energy industries,” said Aimee Flores, the educational director of CEEF.
